One of the world's most advanced polar research vessels, the RRS Sir David Attenborough, is already impressing the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) during its operational and scientific equipment trials around the Irish Sea.
Commissioned by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), built by Cammell Laird from Birkenhead, England, and run by BAS, this new £ 200 million ($ 2.4 billion) investment will change research in the polar regions.
